Denise Adusei

Denise grew up in Rio de Janeiro, making forts, climbing trees and playing soccer. After earning a bachelors from Brown and a Masters from Columbia, she opened her own preschool and became a professional imagineer for children in Harlem.

Denise won a 2019 Word Mentorship, a 2020 AWP Mentorship, and a CBA Diversity+ scholarship. She mothered two yarn spinners with her bookish husband.

She’s now teamed up with Serendipity Literary Agency to light up children's literature.
